UPGRADE TIME!
Well, things seem to be working. I am not done, but I don't have time to devote to this any more today. Motherhood calls

You will see a couple noticeable changes, the first being in the themes department. To play with the themes in a temporary fashion, please select a theme preview on the home page using the drop down menu. You can set a theme as your view in your preferences.
You will also notice the menus have changed with the new CMS. To get back to the home page, you are going to need to click on our logo, or in the case of the "reDesign" theme, the words Submarine Wives Club
I am going to perform a back up today and when I get more time here I will again put it into maintenance mode and complete the task at hand. Enjoy your weekend!

So, I registered for the site... why haven't I heard anything?
After registration, we send you an email from our hotmail account. MANY of those emails go unanswered. Perhaps they get lost in your spam folder. Maybe they just get ignored. I don't list that hotmail address on the site here as we've had to change email addresses more than once due to spammers stealing our addy and using it to send porn and viruses. All I can ask is that you check your folders while waiting for an approval, perhaps make certain hotmail.com is not a blocked extension.

Welcome to the Submarine Wives Club. This support group is a place for wives, fiances and parents of submariners to share their thoughts, vent frustrations and ask for help. We are all in the same "boat" and are here to offer support and advice.

If you are interested in joining the discussions on our forums, you must first apply for membership. All pending memberships will need to be confirmed via email before you can gain access to the members areas.
If you have applied but it's been a couple days and you still haven't gotten an email asking for confirmation of your membership, please check your junk inbox and/or spam filters. Chances are the email to you has been filtered out.

Didn't I have a user name here?
With the new year approaching, we of the SWC staff have decided to do a little tidying up. One area is our memberships. We have had such growth since the site became free again, and that is fantastic. However what's the point of a huge membership if they don't visit the site? Looking through the logs, though, we've noticed there were several members who had joined in 2005/2006 and after approval had not ever come back to the site. There were also a number of folks who used to visit but haven't been back since the start of 2007. Reminders were sent out via email and those who did not respond or check in were purged or suspended. It is certainly nothing personal. If the time comes when you want to rejoin the community, all you have to do is sign up! We'll be happy to have you back.
No systems are perfect. If you have been to the site since receiving my email and still got the purge, please let me know and we'll be happy to reinstate your account.
